RACT Committees either standing or special, are appointed by the President and/or the Board of Directors when deemed necessary. Each committee must include one (1) board member. The committee meets as deemed necessary by the committee chair, Board of Directors or the President. The dates and locations are determined by the committee chair to discuss past, present and future activities relevant to the individual committee’s responsibilities.
Each committee member has one vote on his/her individual committee. Each committee determines its procedures, structure and tasks as well as keeping a detailed record of its meetings, activities and correspondence to be reported to the Board of Directors by the committee chair within two weeks (14 days) of the committee’s meeting. Committee decisions are decided by a majority vote of committee members present at the meeting. Those decisions are to be presented at the next Board of Director’s meeting as recommendations to be voted for approval by a majority of board members present at the meeting.
